AI consulting & forward deployed engineering

A senior AI engineer embedded with your team to find the work worth automating, build it and stay until it runs.

In short

Our AI consulting is done by a forward deployed engineer: a senior engineer who joins your Slack, standups and repository, finds the two or three workflows worth automating, builds the first one and stays until it runs. The assessment takes two weeks, a measured pilot is live by week six, and dedicated time starts from $6k a month.

Strategy is cheap. We stay until it's working.

Most AI consulting ends with a slide deck. Ours ends with software people use every day. We work as forward deployed engineers: embedded with your team, in your Slack, your standups and your repository, on your hours.

We start by sitting with the people who do the work, find the two or three places where AI will save real time or money, and say plainly where it won't. Then we build the first one ourselves, measure it, and leave your team with the code, the evals and the know-how to run it.

Clients bring us in for AI readiness assessments, rescuing stalled pilots, choosing models and vendors, setting up evals and guardrails, and as a senior AI lead while they hire their own team.

Is this for you?

You'll get the most out of this if

  • Leadership wants an AI plan and nobody in-house has shipped AI before
  • You have an AI pilot that's been stuck for months
  • You're choosing between vendors, models or building in-house
  • Your engineers are strong but new to LLMs, evals and agents
  • You need a senior AI lead for a few months while you hire

Deliverables

What you walk away with

  1. 01

    An AI opportunity map

Your workflows ranked by value, effort and risk, with honest notes on where AI won't pay off.

  2. 02

    A first use case, live

Built by us, alongside your engineers, so it's live and owned by your team when we leave.

  3. 03

    Evals, guardrails and governance

An evaluation suite, a review process for model changes, and policies for data, privacy and human oversight.

  4. 04

A team that can carry on

Pairing, code reviews and short workshops so your engineers can build the next use case without us.

Timeline

How the project runs

Typical timings for a first live version. We confirm yours in writing after discovery.

  1. Weeks 1 to 2

    Assess

Interviews, workflow shadowing and a data review. You get the opportunity map and a recommended first project.

  2. Weeks 3 to 6

    Pilot

The first use case built and running with real users, measured against agreed numbers.

  3. Weeks 7 to 10

    Roll out

Hardening, monitoring, security review and rollout to everyone who needs it.

  4. Ongoing

    Enable

Monthly advisory, eval reviews and support while your team takes over.

Why a small studio

The person who scopes your project is the one who builds it, and the one who picks up when it breaks at 2am.

The founder is on your project
Hussain leads every build himself. You won't brief an account manager who briefs a developer who briefs someone else.
Three people, the output of ten
We build with Claude, Codex and our own agent tooling every day. A small senior team now covers what used to need a department.
We stay after launch
Evals before every release, a log of each AI decision, cost limits and someone on call. Month six matters more to us than demo day.
Your repo, your cloud
The code sits in your GitHub and runs in your AWS, GCP or Azure account from the first commit, on tools your next hire already knows.

FAQ

Questions people ask

What is a forward deployed engineer?

An engineer who works inside the client's team instead of behind a ticket queue. They learn the workflow first-hand, scope what's achievable, build it themselves and stay accountable once it's live.

How is this different from a consultancy?

A consultancy usually hands over recommendations. We hand over working software that's already live, plus the evals and documentation to keep it working, and we're available after launch.

Can you work with our in-house engineers?

That's the preferred setup. We pair with your team, review each other's code and leave your engineers able to run and extend what we built.

Do you sign NDAs and work in regulated industries?

Yes. We sign your NDA and data processing terms, keep data in your cloud account, and design for audit logs, access control and PII handling from day one.
